Story
As the back-to-school season approaches, we need your support to bring play and learning to children who are denied their right to education.
Children on the France-UK border are denied access to school. School is where children learn, grow and develop. It is where they build friendships, learn to overcome challenges and to develop a sense of self. By donating, you can help us continue to bring safe spaces to play to children who are missing out on vital years of schooling on the France-UK border.
Your donations to our Winter Appeal have allowed us to play six times a week for the first half of 2023. We want to keep playing this Autumn and need your help.
Since last Winter, we have upgraded our service and now have two vehicles, five coordinators and a large core team of fantastic volunteers. Our monthly costs are now £7100, which allows us to reach even more children, provide even more hours of play and work even harder on campaigning and advocating for the rights of children in France.
Any amount big or small helps us keep playing:
£5 buys an activity bag to gift to children after an eviction
£10 buys resources for one session
£20 provides daily fuel (not sexy - but oh so important!)
£50 buys a set of Kurdish/ Farsi/ Arabic books
£125 provides fuel for a week
£650 covers living expenses for a coordinator for a month
Thank you for your continued support and belief in the power of play.
Big love,
The Project Play Team X
