Story
All children have the right to play because it helps shape their futures. But for the hundreds of refugee children living in northern France, the opportunities to play are extremely limited.
These children are living without many of the basic facilities we take for granted, such as shelter, running water and sanitation. This environment is no place for any child to grow up and exposes children, many of whom have already experienced traumatic events, to further trauma and hostility.
Project Play's sessions provide the space for children to play and be themselves. They give children the chance to experience all the amazing benefits that play has to offer, such as building healthy relationships and processing difficult emotions. This is vital as it provides them with the key skills needed to flourish in the future.
This summer, we are asking you to Play it Forward!
Organise a playful fundraiser, donate your loose change or share this campaign with a friend.
The best news is, thanks to our amazing partners at Outdoor Play and Learning - every donation will be DOUBLED! DOUBLE the donation, DOUBLE the play, DOUBLE the impact!
Will you play it forward this autumn and give children access to our vital service?
