Story
This September, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are coming together to raise funds in support of the Oncology Unit at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
This cause holds an especially meaningful place in our hearts. In September 2025, Dr. Propp’s niece, Blakely, was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic Lymphoma. After an incredibly courageous fight, she is now in remission and doing very well. Her journey has given our family an even deeper appreciation for the extraordinary strength of children battling cancer and for the medical teams, families, and communities who surround them with support.
Over the past year, we have also had the privilege of getting to know an incredible local family in our office who lost their daughter, Isla, to brain cancer in November 2025. Their story is a powerful reminder that while there are victories to celebrate, there are still far too many children and families facing this devastating disease.
This September, we are raising funds to celebrate the victories, honor the children we have lost, support those still fighting, and help provide hope for a future with more cures.
At Propper Smiles Orthodontics, caring for children goes far beyond creating healthy smiles. We believe in supporting the overall health and well-being of the children in our community, especially those facing some of the hardest fights of their lives. We see the strength, courage, and resilience of children every day in our office, and this month, we want to stand behind those who need that strength more than ever.
We are incredibly grateful for the community that surrounds Propper Smiles Orthodontics and hope you’ll join us as we go gold for childhood cancer and support the children and families cared for at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
