Puddle Ducks Lincolnshire is raising money for Face Everything And Rise (FEAR). This charity was suggested to us by one of our swimmers, here is their story:

FEAR are a charity that organise lots of different events throughout the year for children and families going through cancer treatment. They organise activity days such as sailing and kayaking. The reason we'd like to nominate FEAR is the fact that they are a charity that enable children who have a central hickman line to continue to swim by loaning specialised dry suits that would usually cost £500+ and have to be repurchased every time a child goes up in clothes size. Normally, a child with a Hickman line wouldn't be allowed to swim or even go in a bath because of the risk of their central line becoming infected, but with the specialised dry suits that FEAR loan, it enables children to safely swim by keeping the torso completely dry in water. Bea adores water and swimming and we're so glad FEAR are there to enable children, like Bea, to swim safely.
