Lost Hours Walk 2023 · 15 August 2023 to 31 October 2023 ·

Puma Capital are joining the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in their movement against suicide, the cause of death for 125 people every week in the UK and the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.

Story

The Puma team are supporting the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) who are taking a stand against suicide. 125 lives are lost every week to suicide. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this.

CALM do it by provoking conversation, running life-saving services, and bringing people together so they reject living miserably, get help when they need it and don't die by suicide.

This year, Puma will be taking part in CALM’s Lost Hours Walk throughout October. As the clocks go back, join us along with hundreds of other people across the country uniting against suicide. People will be walking to remember their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, partners, and friends of people we’ve lost. Every mile walked, and every pound raised is a step toward helping CALM answer life-saving calls.

As our first initiative, we are setting ourselves a challenge of raising donations and sponsorship by walking at least 300,000 steps each across October. In addition to this, we are planning an hour-long Puma Lost Hours walk on the afternoon of 25th October from Green Park to Westminster for volunteers to take part in, so we can squeeze in as many steps as possible! Our walkers will be split into four groups (named after our company values: Aspiration, Collaboration, Respect, Value Creation) and lead by team captains, with the challenge being for each team to do the most steps. The walk will be followed by our monthly staff drinks, filled with drinks and snacks!

Just £8 could answer a potentially life saving call or webchat. Help us save lives today.

Thanks again for all your support!
