Spina Bifida is a condition close to our hearts as it is something that Jodie lives with. Its a condition that did have its challenges growing up but she is proof that it doesn't define you and that you can live with the condition and still do everything that you want.

There are still people who grow up with this without knowing they have it until adulthood and there are still parents finding a diagnosis during pregnancy who are being encouraged to terminate.

We want to educate on the condition and fundraise for Shine to continue the help and support that is so valuable for those affected.

Shine is not a charity Jodie was aware of growing up and by talking about this we're hoping that more people will be aware of the condition and the help that is out there if you need it.

Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.
