Story
#KickCancerThon is the joint brainchild of Sinead Moodie, The Moodie Davitt Report’s former Chief Operating Officer, and her father and company Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie.
As revealed in her Blog - https://www.themoodieblog.com/cancer-may-not-believe-in-karma-but-i-will-make-my-own-a-special-message-from-another-moodie/ - Sinead was diagnosed with NUT Carcinoma Lung Cancer, an ultra-rare, very aggressive variant of the disease. She had been undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London since July but sadly lost her brave fight in early February.
Like many in the travel retail community, the WEPURPLE team has been incredibly moved by Sinead's story and has been inspired to bring ‘Purple Path for Sinead’ to life in her memory: a global fundraising event that spreads the #WEPURPLETHEWORLD spirit across six WEPURPLE locations. Throughout February each WEPURPLE will use their wisdom, imagination, and creativity to plot a ‘Purple Path’ that is personal to them and features iconic ‘Purple’ locations in each of the company’s bases – Cape Town, Jeddah, London, Mexico City, Paris and Singapore.
All funds raised will go to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and will help to improve the lives of people - like Sinead - affected by cancer. The Royal Marsden’s world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY!
