Our story...

Grace was our teammate and friend, and we had the privilege of sharing her teenage years at Old Loughtonians Hockey Club together.

Together we represent a large family of people connected to our hockey team and the club who all grieved Grace with us following the Nottingham attacks in 2023. We're doing this challenge for you all in her memory, and so that Grace can continue to make a difference in this world through the wonderful initiatives affiliated with The Grace O-Malley-Kumar Foundation.

Taking on the peaks...

On the 2-year anniversary of Grace's passing, we'll be setting off to climb the 3 highest peaks in the UK in just 24 hours. We start with Ben Nevis, then complete Scafell Pike through the night, and finally reach the Snowdon summit just after sunrise the next morning.

We may be hockey players, but let us remind you that everything we do is exclusively on a flat, even surface... hiking and running rugged inclines is not going to be easy for us!

Why the PURPLE three peaks challenge?

As many will know, purple is the iconic strip for Old Loughts HC, and when the time came for Grace to move on from our club, her last message to our team was, "I'll always be purple at heart." These words have since been engraved and mounted in our changing room so that she's forever at home with us <3
