The Great River Race 2023 · 16 September 2023

Our humanitarian work, clearing landmines and other debris of war, creates safe & secure environments in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. We save lives and lift local families out of poverty by creating jobs for deminers and we prepare the way for development and long term stability.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. The Pangbourne Water Rats are rowing 'Messing About', a Salter's Double skiff in The Great River Race - 23 miles through London, on September 16th 2023.

This year Kat and Nick Syfret, John South and Matilda Oppenheimer are once again fundraising by taking part in the Great River Race for the HALO Trust.

Halo is clearing the deadly debris of war in Ukraine, and other current and former war zones around the world. They have programs in the Horn of Africa, the Caucasus and Angola. Kat and Nick's son Rob has worked in many of these locations and is currently in Africa.
