Skydive for George’s

Skydive for George's- St George's Hospital Charity · 17 August 2024
Having abseiled last year, 7 members of the QMH Surgical Treatment Centre team are taking on an even greater challenge this year and will be doing a Skydive in August. On behalf of the Queen Mary’s Hospital Surgical Treatment Centre, Sue, Grace, Winnie, Raquel, Lea, Sebastien and Jalvin will brave the skies and launch into the unknown from 13,000ft, free-fall at 120mph and glide gently back to earth whilst Skydiving for St George’s.
Every penny raised will go towards our Children's Appeal, Time For A Change.
Please help us raise for our cause to support St George’s hospitals and the communities they serve. Every day, our work makes a real difference and every penny you raise helps to support patients, their families and the staff who care for them. Your support means we can fund more projects that make a real difference - from enhancing patient care to researching new treatments.
From funding innovative medical research and raising money to purchase vital medical equipment, to improving the experience in hospital for patients and families, St George’s Hospital Charity plays a crucial role.
Staying in hospital can be frightening and isolating for many. The work that we do through our Arts Programme and funded projects like our new child friendly play space, help to enhance the environment for those staying in and visiting the hospital.

Queen Mary's Hospital- Surgical Treatment Centre
The Surgical Treatment Centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, which opened its doors in June 2021, is providing surgical teams across south west London with protected theatre time to ensure patients waiting for routine procedures as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic get the treatment they need.
Inside the NHS surgical super-hub helping to improve our healthcare. The A&E crisis has led to the cancellation of many non-urgent operations vital for quality of life. Facilities that focus on straightforward health complaints can provide extra capacity away from the chaos' -The TIMES Health Commission
“One of the most impressive features of this state of the art development is that it can provide the most appropriate and convenient access to treatment to patients. The new hub was constructed using the latest construction techniques at excellent value, this was achieved by cooperation across the local NHS and should be an exemplar for similar units.” -The TIMES Health Commission
It is only with the help of our generous supporters and fundraisers that we are able to continue helping the patients and staff being treated across the St George's Healthcare Trust.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated and will continue to inspire us to continue the difference that we make here at St George's!
