QMUL Arab Society is proud to sponsor a child in Iraq, supporting her education, food, and clothing.

Zahra was born on the 29th of November 2019 and lives in Al-Diwaniyah, Iraq with her mother and two brothers. In Arabic culture, a child who has lost her father is considered an orphan (yateem) - and Zahra sadly lost her father at a young age. Her family survives on less than $200 a month.

Through our sponsorship, Zahra will be able to continue her education whilst removing the stress of affording her education, allowing her to enjoy a brighter future.
