Warrington Animal Welfare is a rehoming & neutering charity which strives tirelessly to reduce the amount of abandoned or stray animals in Warrington and the surrounding areas. We promote responsible pet ownership, neutering and microchipping for pets, and by rehoming animals at our rescue centre.

Story

On 26 May, the Quantum Science team is swapping its beakers for sneakers and taking part in the Great Manchester Run 10k to raise money for Warrington Animal Welfare.

We’re Quantum Science, a nanotechnology company based in Daresbury making exciting advances in infrared sensing and imaging, and this month, Duan, Stuart, Parth, Bruce, Kishore, Frank, and Ramakant will be leaving the lab and hitting the pavement in support of a charity that means a lot to everyone in the business.

We’re a company of animal lovers and the work that Warrington Animal Welfare does for caring for abandoned, abused and unwanted pets is close to our hearts. Unfortunately, animal shelters like this are still in high demand, especially after the rise in pets being abandoned after the COVID-19 lockdowns.

As a small local charity reliant on donations and fundraising, we’re committed to helping Warrington Animal Welfare however we can, and would really appreciate any support you can give.
