Story
For 180 remarkable years, Queen's University Belfast has stood as a shining beacon of hope and progress, transforming lives through pioneering medical research, enhanced cancer care, cutting-edge online security, and life-changing education initiatives across Northern Ireland. This year, in celebration of the University's 180th Anniversary, a passionate team of 180 QUB runners—comprising students, staff, and alumni—will unite to take on the Belfast City Marathon relay on 3 May 2026.
These dedicated runners form 36 relay teams whose collective spirit embodies endurance, compassion, and an unwavering determination to make a meaningful impact. They are committed to raising vital funds for two deeply important causes: Student Mental Health Initiatives and Queen's Medical Research. The challenges faced by students' mental health are growing more urgent every day, while ongoing medical research remains essential to developing treatments that save lives.
