Story
We’re so grateful to Girls Who Walk Leicester for partnering with us throughout March and choosing to fundraise for Quetzal through their events. Community moments like this remind us how powerful it is when people come together in solidarity, support, and friendship.
Quetzal is a local charity in Leicester that provides free long-term counselling services to female survivors of CSA. Your support through this event will help fund these services, ensuring that survivors have access to the resources they need to heal and move forward in their lives.
Find out more about Quetzal via our website: www.quetzal.org.uk
Girls Who Walk Leicester is an inclusive, women-only (18+) community that creates a safe and welcoming space for women to walk, connect, and support one another. Whether you’re new to walking or love getting your steps in, everyone is welcome.
Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day throughout March by attending the incredible line up of events:
First Up: Quetzal is proud to be teaming up with Girls Who Walk Leicester for a special fundraising walk on International Women’s Day, Sunday 8th March.
This walk will raise vital funds to support Quetzal Charity Leicester’s life-changing work with women, while celebrating strength, solidarity, and women supporting women.
We’ll meet in the city centre before walking down New Walk, around Victoria Park and back into town, raising awareness and funds for the vital work Quetzal does in our community.
There’s no sign-up required - simply turn up on the day. Many people attend our walks solo, so please don’t hesitate to come along on your own. Solo attendance is always welcomed and encouraged
Meeting spot: ORSO Leicester, 4 Market Pl, Leicester LE1 5GF
Time: 11:00am
Please show your support by donating. Every contribution helps support the important work Quetzal does for women and girls across Leicester.
