Story
On the 21st June we are taking part in the 48 mile Jersey Island Walk. This will be a year to the date when we held a service of thanksgiving for the life of Millie and the positive impact she made to so many lives in her 21 years.
We are doing this to raise funds for an initiative we've named 'Love, Millie'.
Millie sadly passed away very suddenly in May 2024. In Millie's memory and with an awareness of the mental health epidemic that is rife on campuses across the UK, we want to play our part to ensure every Manchester student who is struggling with their mental health or struggling with suicidal ideation can access appropriate support and hear first hand that they are known and loved by God. This support service will be provided by Fabric Church, Millie's local church in Manchester where she loved being involved.
This is a cause that was very close to Millie's heart and any donation you can give is hugely appreciated.
Love, Millie will be a ministry of Fabric Church which is a Church of England plant church in the diocese of Manchester. The church is governed by a board of trustees (Manchester CCRC Trust) who will have oversight of any funds raised for this initiative. Any funds raised for Love, Millie will be designated as for that purpose only and ring-fenced in a separate account. There will be no use of these funds for the routine running of the church or delivery of other ministries.
