London Landmarks Half Marathon 2024 · 7 April 2024 ·

We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide, which is very close to my heart for a number of reasons.

Me and a number of colleagues from the mighty Fieldfisher Run Club will be pounding the streets of London to support the charity on Sunday 6 April 2024 in what, for me, will be my second ever half marathon race.

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, and every year over 1,800 young people take their own lives. Those who die from suicide are disproportionately men, making up three quarters of all suicidal; we are in a state of male mental health crisis, which I feel passionately about, and wish to support - as part of the broader, wonderful work this Charity does.

PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. And what is more, our wonderful firm, Fieldfisher LLP, is matching every penny we raise, so your donations will have literally DOUBLE the impact!!!

Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
