For several decades, the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Phi Gamma Delta (or 'Fiji') at the University of Alberta has put on an annual summer charity event called Run to Red Deer as part of a larger goal of developing young leaders through meaningful community engagement. Over the course of a weekend, members cover over 150 km in a relay-style run between the city limits of Edmonton and Red Deer. Run to Red Deer 2023 will be held on August 26-27th, helping to kick off the academic year. Supporting this event contributes directly to CMHA Edmonton's excellent community initiatives focused on providing emergency support and improving mental health treatment for all.
