Story
On 10th July, a group of us will be taking on a section of the Raad ny Foillan coastal path, walking appox. 55 miles from the Point of Ayre to Sami’s at the Bradda Glen, in memory of our mate, Sami.
Sami sadly passed away from leukaemia in February last year. Those of us who were able to visit him at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre will know just how amazing the standard of care and the facilities are. The work they do is incredibly important, so it’s a privilege to hopefully raise a bit of money for them.
As a group of mates, we haven’t had many chances to grieve his loss together, given how spread out we are across the UK and IOM. So all of us coming together and walking 55-miles along the Islands beautiful coastline, in the height of summer, feels like a pretty fitting way to remember him. It’s not exactly Everest, but 55 miles is still a fair trek, at least it is to a bunch of fella’s in their late 20’s who probably aren’t as fit as they used to be…
Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot and will help support the brilliant work The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity continues to do for people and families affected by cancer.
