Cycling for Overcoming MS in May

Do something that works for you this May – and raise money to help someone feel supported from the moment of diagnosis.

Story

Thanks for stopping by. If you make a donation before you leave, thank you even more!

I'm cycling to raise money for Overcoming MS. Their programming has made an impact on my life and I want to help them reach more people and continue to give people the resources they need to live well with MS.

In case you're here and didn't know, I live with MS. At 19 years old, I had my first relapse. More recently, after a bout with optic neuritis, I stopped riding my bike. I need to get back to it and this is the best reason (besides my own health) to do so.

Before I found Overcoming MS, I was doing things here and there to try to improve or maintain my health. Now, i have a community and more guidance. I have met people who have inspired me and seen evidence that what I'm doing is the best things I can do. I'm not perfect but I'm living more in line with OMS than not.

I'm committing to riding 250 miles in May. That's a lot for me but my bike is getting tuned up as I write this at the beginning of April and I'm going to start training to work my way up to getting miles in each day.
