Penny Appeal's Emergency Response teams are on the ground providing disaster relief, saving and healing precious lives.

Story

Over 50,000 killed - the devastating situation in Turkey and Syria so far:

In the early hours of Monday 6th February, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck near the city of Gaziantep in Turkey, killing hundreds across Turkey and Syria. This is the worst earthquake to hit the region in a century!

Following this, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake has been reported to have caused further deaths and destruction across the Elbistan district of Turkeys Kahramanmaras province.

A third earthquake of 6.0 magnitude has followed within hours of the first, causing complete havoc and despair for communities across Turkey and Syria, leaving thousands injured and many more expected deaths.

I'm fundraising for Penny Appeal so they can provide emergency aid. The team have reached turkey and are doing all they can to provide emergency aid, the devastation is unimaginable and urgent help is needed to save lives.
