In October, we were devastated to lose Robert ‘Rab’ Richardson. Rab was an incredible person; a long-time Firhill volunteer, Partick Thistle Charitable Trust participant and a diehard Jag whose love for Thistle was surpassed only by the love he had for his family and friends. He is sorely missed by so many people and we will always remember him.

To celebrate Rab’s life, we are holding a memorial match in his honour at Petershill Park on Saturday 21 March at 4pm. The game will be between Jags For Good FC and the Partick Thistle Charitable Trust’s Accepting Activity programme, with some special guests too. At Rab’s family’s request the match will be used to raise money for the Charitable Trust’s Holiday Food Programme, which provides fresh meals through the school holidays to children living across the north west of Glasgow.
