The Foundation delivers golf to new faces across the UK and works to change lives through the power of golf. They help golf clubs grow their junior influence, help to deliver golf into primary and secondary schools, and work with impoverished communities and areas to help make a real impact.

Over the past year, the Foundation introduced 218,645 children to golf of which 46% were girls, 15% had a disability and 19% were from an ethnically diverse background.

Their life skills programme, Unleash Your Drive, is now helping young people in golf clubs, county golf associations, schools, and community groups, build their confidence, resilience, respect for others and overall emotional wellbeing. Using a recognised measurement tool, they can accurately assess its impact – including a 20% average improvement in mental toughness.

With their new President Nick Dougherty leading the way, the Golf Foundation are on a mission aimed at getting golf into every school across GB&I and using the game to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. The programme will see free adapted golf equipment delivered to every school. Schools will have access to online coaching and resources that will empower teachers to deliver a 6-week programme, with 9 key life skills to improve mental toughness. These will help youngsters to deal with the pressures and stresses they face more confidently, helping them to perform better in school, in sport and to make better life choices.
