Richmond Charity Orienteering Challenge 2026

Join us for a fun-filled community orienteering challenge around the historic town of Richmond while helping to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Whether you're an experienced navigator, a keen walker, or simply looking for a great day out with friends and family, this event is open to everyone. Navigate your way around a series of checkpoints, enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Richmond, and support an incredible cause at the same time.

Why the SSAFA?

The SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families since 1885. Every year, the charity helps thousands of people across the Armed Forces community by providing practical, emotional and financial support whenever it is needed. Many serving personnel, veterans and military families face unexpected challenges, from injury and illness to financial hardship, bereavement and difficulties adjusting to civilian life. SSAFA works tirelessly to ensure that no member of the Armed Forces community has to face these challenges alone.

As a member of the RAF Air Cadets, I have seen first-hand the commitment and sacrifices made by those who serve our country. Supporting SSAFA is a way of giving something back to the people who dedicate their lives to protecting others and to the families who support them every step of the way.

By entering the event or making an additional donation, you are helping SSAFA continue its vital work supporting members of the Armed Forces community across the UK. Together, we can make a real difference while enjoying a fantastic day of adventure, teamwork and community spirit.
