In February of this year, our dear friend Grace was diagnosed with cancer, with a sarcoma in her femur.

Knowing Grace for a combined total of 21 years (Emily 16 & Milly 5), means we’ve been through a lot of milestones together.

Passing bike ability turned into passing driving tests, first days of infant school turned to first days in university and Milly joining us in sixth form led us to visiting 11 different cities together, creating some of the most incredible memories.

What we hadn’t expected was Grace’s leg pain to turn into Cancer.

For those who know Grace, it will come as no surprise that she has handled her diagnosis with incredible strength. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, with surgery and radiotherapy yet to come, she is still maintaining an admirable sense of humour and we couldn’t be prouder.

Seeing as we can’t walk through every step of this challenge with Grace, we’d like to show our support another way; by giving back to her incredible nurses supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust, who have been a constant source of comfort and positivity for Grace throughout her treatment.

To honour our 21 combined years of friendship, we (two self-confessed non-runners) are running 21km at the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 12th of October 2025, joined by Grace’s Mum and Uncle as part of team 'Race for Grace'.

We are incredibly grateful for your generosity as we try to raise as much as possible for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Every donation will help us say 'thank you' to those helping Grace smile through her toughest days and ensure more young people like her receive the fantastic care provided by the Teenage Cancer trust.
