Romsey Mill's Y3P Challenge 2024 · 18 May 2024 ·

Support a team of people who will be walking the 25-mile trek in Yorkshire, climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough; aiming to complete within 12 hours, while raising funds to support the vital work of Romsey Mill in Cambridge.

Story

Hi, my name is Rachael and I'm a volunteer at Cara Coffee Shop in Great Shelford which is run by Romsey Mill. I have found this volunteering opportunity has helped my mental health greatly.

This fund-raising will be a way of showing my appreciation and will help raise important funds (see information below).

Walking/trekking/climbing are hobbies that I really enjoy so I'm really looking forward to this challenge on Saturday 18th May which will involve walking 25 miles within 12 hours in Yorkshire - including 3 peaks!

Thank you for looking at my page, any donations are gratefully received!

Information about Romsey MIll:

Romsey Mill is a charity committed to overcoming disadvantage, challenging injustice and promoting social inclusion with young people, children and families. Each year, we work with over 2,000 individuals and families, from Cambridge city and across areas of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, including:

* young mothers and fathers

* young people on the margins of society who may be involved in risky or anti-social behaviour

* young people struggling to engage fully with education

* families with pre-school children

* young people with an autistic spectrum condition.

Our work is long term, relational and needs-led. We work with participants to develop their skills and to enable their progress towards training, work and positive involvement in the community.
