On this rather hot and sticky Sunday Hallam and his friend Milo completed their bike ride managing to cycle up and down the trail (despite an unexpected diversion because it was partly closed) for just under 6 hours (with a break for a quick paddle to cool down and some lunch) covering a total of 32 miles!

Hallam is trying to raise £500 for the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band 2025 Tour.

Hallam is a member of MYBB, a registered charity and youth brass band which provides free instruments, tuition and opportunities for young people in Macclesfield. MYBB was formed in 2005 and is celebrating its 20 Anniversary this year and as part of this, this summer, the band is going on tour to Belgium where they will perform at a carnival and the nightly Menin Gate Ceremony – something which is a huge honour.

The band need to raise £5000 in the next few weeks to help fund the trip and with that in mind Hallam (and a friend) are planning on an ‘endurance’ bike ride on Sunday 14 July. Hallam and his friend will be spending six hours cycling up and down the 8.5 mile Monsal Trail in the Peak District, attempting to cover as much distance as possible!
