Story
For the last 4 years, Families United have supported me and my children in more ways than I could ever explain. They’ve given us support, friendship, a safe place to belong, amazing events, unforgettable days out, and friends for life.
Now they’re fundraising for an incredible community project that will create opportunities for disabled adults, provide a safe and welcoming space for old and new members to come together, and truly place Families United at the heart of the Warrington community.
So… I’ve somehow offered to do an ABSEIL down the side of Anfield Stadium 😳
Anyone who knows me knows I am absolutely PETRIFIED of heights. Honestly, I feel sick even thinking about it! But I want to do something that pushes me completely out of my comfort zone for a charity that has done so much for us. Did I say its 100 ft down 🤮
To keep me going (and make sure I don’t back out halfway down!), I’ll be wearing a Liverpool top with the name of a very special Families United member on the back — Don, who we sadly lost in 2024. ❤️
Don was a huge part of our community and an absolutely massive LFC fan, so it only seems fitting. I know wearing his name will spur me on to complete this challenge because I could never let his beautiful family down, who mean so much to me and my children.
He better look down on me and make sure I get down safely… no pressure mate! 😂
Please donate whatever you can, no matter how small, and share this far and wide. Let’s show everyone exactly what the Warrington SEN community is made of! ❤️
