We support survivors of sexual abuse & rape to help & empower them to move forward

Story

It’s time to shatter the silence and speak up about sexual abuse and rape.

Empowerment begins with open and safe conversations. Help build a world where everyone feels confident to share their experiences of sexual abuse and rape. Please help Safeline to break the stigma and provide a safe space for healing and support

On average it takes 12 years for women to disclose their experiences and 20+ years for men.

Together, in our 30th year, we can all help to #BreaktheSilence

I am taking on a Sponsored Silence (alongside Rebecca) from 8pm Thursday 1st February for 24 hours.

Yes you can all stop laughing now 😊 – I can hear you all saying ‘’Rachael the extremely chatty Fundraiser being quiet for one hour will be a push, let alone 24 hours!!.’’ Now is your chance to donate to see me fall silent.

We will be finishing our slience at our ‘’#Break the Silence’’ Karaoke event at Murphys Bar, Regent Street, Leamington Spa which takes place from 7pm on Friday 2nd February.

We would love you all to attend and join in the chance to #Breakthesilence and talk about the support that we offer for those who have been affected by sexual violence and abuse.

People can nominate a song for us to sing alongside their donations – we will aim to perform the most popular requests during the evening.

We will be working during the Friday 2nd February so if you would like a silent meeting with us, please do drop an email to us at fundraising@safeline.org.uk.
