Story
As some of you may know, I’ve been on a running journey since July 2024 when I first started couch to 5k. Fast forward to May 11th 2025 and I will be running Leeds half marathon, with the aim of completing it in sub 2hours. Alongside completing the run, I have decided to raise money for Invictus Wellbeing. Invictus wellbeing is a mental health charity based in Halifax, who offer a range of projects and services to those aged 5-25. The charity also holds a very special place in my families hearts, as they have supported us on our journey of grief, after we lost our Ethan to his mental health battle.
A message from Mandie, Ellie and Dame (Ethan’s mum, sister and dad)
‘Invictus to us is a home away from home. A charity that raises awareness and strives to make our lives just that little bit brighter when we are in our darkest moments. They have been nothing but a huge support to our family, always showing there is light at the end of the tunnel and there is nothing we can’t overcome together. Ever since the first day we reached out about our fundraiser, they have made us feel so included with everything they do. With every single penny we raised, they’ve voiced how and where it will be spent to help those who are in need of such an incredible support network. We cannot recommend Invictus enough. They will always be like a second family to us.’
If you are able to sponsor me, it would be greatly appreciated and a huge thanks in advance to those who do.
The money raised will be getting presented at the HooHaa fundraiser for Ethan on 30th May and added to the grand total❤️
