Yorkshire 3 Peaks for NAIT babies

Rachael Walker is raising money for NAIT babies

Yorkshire 3 Peaks · 29 May 2026

We support families and research into treatment and prevention of the rare bleeding disorder Fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia FNAIT, which may cause the fetus/neonate to bleed into the brain ICH or other major organs due to the maternal immune response against feta platelet antigens.

Story

Spring challenge 2026!

Tippi, Rachael & Jamie will fearlessly take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in just one day! Tippi decided this would be the perfect present for her 15th Birthday, so onwards and upwards we go to celebrate!

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24-mile (38.6km) circular route with 1,585m of ascent, taking in the three highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.

Come rain or shine, armed with pies and pints (of tea) we are hoping to have your support while we raise funds for NAIT babies and the tireless work they do; spreading awareness, working closely with medical professionals and supporting families who have to deal with the heartbreaking outcomes of Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia, with the ultimate goal of a vaccine to eradicate this often fatal condition.

Having to navigate life, with the complications and challenges of medical conditions, caused by a rare and life changing disease, is something I am all too familiar with - and having seen closely the devastating impact FNAIT has had on other children and families, your support would mean the world.
