Derian House Children's Hospice provides specialist care and respite to children and young people with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We cover the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2024 the cost to us stands at over £6m.

Story

Born Survivor has quickly become one of the most exciting and innovative obstacle course events in the country. Taking part in a Born Survivor event will test our personal fitness, courage, determination, teamwork and camaraderie to the limit. To take this on we're going to need a stiff upper lip to conquer the challenge together. Luckily its not a race; its designed as a challenge for everyone over the age of 16 to tackle at their pace, whatever their ability.

We're challenging ourselves to beat this amazing obstacle course to raise funds for Derian House Children's Hospice who are based in Chorley. They provide respite, palliative and end of life care for babies, children and young adults across Lancashire, South Cumbria & Greater Manchester. This is at a cost to them of £6m in 2024, of which they only receive 30% of this funding from any form of statutory sources.
