Story
Many of you will already know that we have taken on the challenge to run the London Marathon on 21 April 2024 and we are doing this to raise money for Kids.
Rachel works for Kids, and they support 18,000 disabled children, young people and their families. They are ambitious and want to reach 120,000 by 2027 and so we felt we wanted to take on an ambitious challenge too and raise funds to support their mission.
Kids offers support across the UK and Rachel gets to visit the teams who support these families and sees first-hand what a difference they make. From nurseries to parent forums, to short breaks and wellbeing groups and they even have a fully accessible caravan in the Cotswolds for families to use.
We want to raise £6000 as a team as this will make a real difference to Kids. We have started our training plans and we know it’s going to get tough especially over the winter months, when it’s cold and dark. None of us have run a marathon before and we know we have a lot of training to do to get ourselves ready. We’re going to be supporting each other throughout and your words of encouragement and support really makes a difference to us. Please join us to help Kids achieve its mission to reach even more disabled children, young people and their families. Every penny raised goes to Kids so please donate if you can and follow our journey.
