The Low-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer (LGSOC) Initiative has partnered with the University of Edinburgh to help fund transformational research into low-grade serous ovarian cancer.

Story

Sadly my beautiful best friend and soul sister passed away on September 10th after a long battle with Low Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer at just 32 years old. Jasmine was a huge advocate for this charity and helped so many other women around the world by sharing her story on social media. (Jasmineshealingjourney) so this charity is extremely close to her heart and she always wanted to raise awareness and funds due to it being so underfunded. I want to carry on her mission!

Low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC), which predominantly affects women in their 20s and 30s, is rare and was only recognised as a distinct type of ovarian cancer in the past 15 years. Much remains unknown about LGSOC, and treatments for other types of ovarian cancer are ineffective against it.

I’m fundraising to help support research led by Prof Charlie Gourley and Dr Robb Hollis at the Nicola Murray Centre for Ovarian Cancer Research, University of Edinburgh. Their work focuses on leading crucial research and clinical trials for LGSOC.

Together, we can advance research and drastically improve survival rates for women living with LGSOC. Thank you for supporting my fundraising. Any little helps 💜
