3 Peak Challenge · 27 July 2024

Child of Hope is producing a huge social impact for children and their families in Eastern and Northern Uganda through free education, healthcare, clothing, food and welfare. Each donation goes to our work in the slums of Mbale and Karamoja and gets straight to work improving lives and communities.

Story

Update!

3Peaks completed! Thank you so much for all your support. Couldn’t be prouder of my family and what a weekend of fun, chatter, hard work (!) aching muscles and making memories.

Not too late to donate if you feel like it! Thank you again.

We decided to challenge ourselves as a family to take on the 3 Peaks Challenge - 3 mountains, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell in England and Snowdon in Wales in 24 hours.

In September, Rachel is going to be volunteering at Child Of Hope In Uganda for 7 weeks so, as well as having fun and challenging ourselves we thought we thought it would be good to try to raise some extra funds for this charity.

Child of Hope makes huge social impact for slum children and their families from its schools in Eastern Uganda – by providing free education, healthcare, welfare, food and clothing to kids from the poorest and most vulnerable families. Even setting up mums in their own start-up business.

It takes place in the Namatala slum near Mbale, where survivors from years of strife in the north struggle to make ends meet. Up to 30,000 live there, around half of which are school age. But poverty prevents most of them going to school.

Tom, Charlotte, Dan, Fran, James and Bella along with Rachel and Clive are all going to be tackling this route.

If you were able to support Child Of Hope in any way, we would be truly grateful. Whatever happens, we would really appreciate your encouragement and support to take on this challenge (well Rachel would!) Thank you
