Story

I'm running 100km this June to help families affected by motor neurone disease. Dad was a keen runner and I hope to do him proud completing this challenge. I’m planning to build up to a marathon in the future.

My Dad was diagnosed with Bulbar Onset MND on 21st May 2021. Bulbar Onset MND (also known as Progressive Bulbar Palsy) is the rarest type of MND and unfortunately, has the worst prognosis. Life expectancy is 6 months to 3 years from diagnosis. Dad lost his speech, became unable to swallow, then lastly lost his ability to breathe independently. We lost him on 22nd June 2023.

Whether you can donate £5 or £500, every penny counts in the fight against MND. The money raised will provide care and support for people living with MND and their families and carers. It will also fund vital research to help better understand the disease and bring us closer to finding a cure.

Thank you for your support.
