Story
Our daughter, and Megan’s sister, Amy was diagnosed with ME last May. It’s an illness without cure or medication, which is alarmingly under researched and is not well understood. Megan, Richard and I have chosen to walk 500 miles in May between us- that’s just over 5 miles a day each. We’ve chosen May as it’s ME awareness month and we’ve chosen 500 miles as we hope to raise £500 to help research so that one day this terrible disease will be treatable.

Only biomedical research can find the causes of ME/CFS, improve diagnosis and treatment, and, ultimately, arrive at a cure. That’s why research is our focus.
We've awarded 64 full grants and 5 PhD-level awards since 2000 and invested over £3.5million. But research is expensive and becoming more so every day. That’s the challenge we face, and that’s why we need your help.
