The RSPCA Birmingham Animal Centre is a purpose built animal welfare centre that has the capacity to house 160 cats and 60 dogs, plus a unit that houses rabbits and other small animals all looking for new homes.

Story

On 12th April, I’ll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon — 13.1 miles through the heart of London that will definitely test my legs, lungs and determination. This will be my first ever half marathon!

I’m running to raise money for the RSPCA, a charity that is very close to my heart. Both of my cats were adopted from the RSPCA Birmingham after being rescued from a home where they were mistreated. Thanks to the care, patience and dedication they received, they were given a second chance — and they’re now safe, loved, and very much part of my family.

The RSPCA works tirelessly to rescue animals from cruelty and neglect, rehabilitate them, and help them find loving homes. I see first-hand the difference that work makes every single day.

Training hasn’t always been straightforward, so every mile will be hard-earned. Knowing that this run can help support animals like my cats — and many more who are still waiting for their second chance — gives me the motivation to keep going, even when it’s tough.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to me and will make a real difference to animals who need care, safety and kindness.

Thank you so much for supporting me and the RSPCA 🐶🐱💙
