Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m committing to walking 26.2 miles the distance of a marathon every week for six weeks consecutively. Starting on Sunday 28 April.
It may not seem like a challenge for some but for my arthritic body it will be for me. I won’t walk every day to give my body (and my feet) some recovery time which will mean longer walks on the days I am walking. Here is hoping for some nicer weather than we have had for the first few months! If you see me out and a about feel free to give me a wave and a toot or even better make a wee contribution here, no matter how small this will go to a local mental health charity in Bangor and East Belfast which makes accessing counselling accessible to all. They also have small groups to help support kids with or awaiting a diagnosis of Autism and well as a parent/ carers service for those who care for kids with or awaiting a diagnosis of Autism.
The charity was started by two inspiring ladies (Pam and Cara) who having worked for other organisations decided to start their own charity to ensure it was a client led service.
I will post each of my walks on here to keep myself accountable!
