Story

I will be running the Worcester half marathon on 13th September in memory of my lovely Mum who sadly died on 22nd May due to a high grade brain tumour-Glioblastoma Multiforme:

The last two and a half years of Mum’s life involved countless hospital visits, surgeries, and treatments. As many of you know, radiotherapy and chemotherapy can be incredibly demanding. Mum carried her faith with her every step of the way and was a true inspiration to me/our family, and all who knew her.

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet account for just 1% of government cancer research funding.

My friends Loz and Tia will be running with me; our fundraising will go to the @Tessa Jowell foundation. We want to raise awareness and much needed research into new treatments for the people, their families and carers who are dealing with this devastating diagnosis.
