Rachel's fundraiser for Michael Sobell Hospice

Rachel Crossan is raising money for Michael Sobell Hospice
In memory of Maggie Crossan
At Michael Sobell House, supported by Harlington Hospice, we support people in our community living with serious or terminal illness, and their family and friends. We believe everyone who comes to us should be supported to live each of their days in their own way, to the fullest.

Story

Our lives were turned upside down when our mum was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer on the 8th of October 2024.

Pancreatic cancer is hidden and often diagnosed far too late for treatment which was the case for our beautiful mum Maggie.

The aggressive nature of mum’s cancer meant that she was too poorly to stay at home and when Michael Sobell Hospice offered a bed to manage her symptoms she welcomed some pain relief with open arms.

The Michael Sobell Hospice doctors, nurses and care staff were in her own words “angels” and she was treated with so much respect and dignity that we are forever grateful for all of the staff making my mum feel safe and pain free during her end of life care.

There isn’t a price that truly reflects the acts of love and kindness you receive from a hospice during turbulent times in life but Michael Sobell will forever hold a place in our heart and the family would appreciate any donations to be placed here in memory of Maggie xx
