I will be running the Sheffield Half Marathon on the Sunday the 7th of April . I am running it for my grandad who was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago now . Unfortunately, this disease has had a large impact on his life and the family around him . I’m sure that other family’s have gone through the same suffering and I just really wanted to do something that is not only difficult and will be a massive achievement for myself but raise awareness for this terrible disease too . Anyone who doesn’t know , I have an illness called fibromyalgia . This probably has to be one of the most scary things I have decided to do because not only running is difficult but I will be running for 21k . Like my last race in September, I did a 10k and on the day I wasn’t very well so all the support is much appreciated as this race is going be very difficult 😊
