We are Nottinghamshire’s Lowland Rescue team. We are a team of more than 40 professional volunteers on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to deploy at any time, in any weather to find vulnerable missing people. We are proud members of Lowland Rescue, the UKs governing body for Lowland Rescue teams and are deployed by Nottinghamshire Police. Covering all 834 square miles (2.16 billion square metres) of Nottinghamshire, our members are trained to operate across all types of terrain including rural land, towns and cities, forest, and around water.

Story

Eighteen months ago, I started my running journey after losing weight. I hadn't run since school, so taking on this challenge has pushed me far beyond what I ever thought I was capable of.

This run is about so much more than crossing a finish line. I'm running in memory of Ray, dad to Rachel, Andy and Beth, grandad to Arthur, Violet and Aubrey.

When their dad went missing, Nottingham Search and Rescue were there to support the family through an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time. They provide a vital service to families facing unimaginable circumstances, and they do it entirely through the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of donations.

Every search they carry out and every family they support is only possible because of people who give their time and kindness.

If you'd like to support me and help Nottingham Search and Rescue continue their incredible work, I'd be so grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small. Your support will make a real difference.

Thank you
