My name is Rachel Devall and I sadly lost my 9 week and 6 day old baby daughter Olive to Sid’s (cotdeath) on Saturday 1st July 2023 , myself , family and friends would like to start fundraising so a cooling cot could be gifted the funeral directors that looked after my baby girl in her final weeks in this world . This is Viner and sons in Westmalling Kent , when I walked into Viner and sons they had never dealt this a baby so young but never the less they done a amazing job in looking after olive and me I really cannot thank them enough , in order to raise the money we will be doing lots of walks from Olive’s home in aylesford to her final resting place in Snodland we will be walking the same route as she went on her final journey , I am hoping to set up a coffee morning and a few other events i will post updates as to when they will be starting hopefully soon as possible . I would love for a cooling cot to be placed at Viners as babyloss is inevitable it more common than what some of you may think , if a cot was placed at Viner and sons in westmalling it would allow so many other families going through the heartbreak to spend just that little bit more time with their baby 💔 unfortunately my local hospital or funeral director did not have a cooling cot so my time was a little shorter than what I would of liked , but this is where me and Olive would love to help other families and babies who are going through this .

I know £2,800 is a lot of money and I really greatful to everyone who does share and donate and to everyone who takes part ❤️

Our first moonlight walk will be on Saturday 4th February leaving aylesford at 4.30pm final destination will be Snodland cemetery Olive’s forever resting place 💔❤️which is just under 6 miles We will also be doing a light display with baby Olive’s princess carriage for people to look at whilst we are out on our walk 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our coffee morning will be on Saturday 2nd March 2024 10am-12.15pm this will be held in the Snodland church hall 209 Malling road snodland Kent me6 5ee there will also be a remembrance table for anyone who would like to bring a photo of their little angels and light a candle for them everyone is welcome to come even children ❤️

This is some information on what a cooling cot is The Abi Cooling Cot is a refrigerated unit that allows families to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible. The cooling cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process. The cooling cot is supplied by Abigail's Footsteps in partnership with The Bond Group . We have delivered cots to over 100 hospitals and hospices in the UK and Ireland so far. It is our mission to encourage all bereavement suites in hospitals to have at least two cooling cots.
