Story
Hi. I’m Rachel.
I’ve been working as the Retail operations Manager at Bury Hospice for the past 3 years and whilst doing my job it’s become obvious just how important raising money for the hospice actually is.
Only 13% of funding for the hospice comes from the government so it falls upon the local community to help raise the remaining funds to keep the hospice afloat.
In my time in this role I’ve been utterly amazed by the creative and heartwarming challenges people have taken on in order to raise funds.
Now, I feel, it is most definitely my turn to get involved. All of my colleagues, family and friends will have a laugh and a half watching me do this and frankly I can hardly believe I’m doing this myself. I will be abseiling 170ft down the Trafford centre Palazzo (I’d much rather be shopping in the Primark there)
A challenge like this doesn’t come naturally to me which is why I need you to dig deep to spur me on. I can’t stress how much your support will mean to me whilst I take on this challenge.
I have set a target of £500 but any amount big or small really does help and would mean the world to me.
Sending lots of love and many many thanks; wish me luck. I’m gonna need it.
Rachel.
