Story

I am very proud to be running the London Landmarks Half marathon for Jennie's Children's Trust. Jennie's raises vital funds to provide respite breaks for children and their families who really need one.

Jennie's Children's Trust really makes a difference to the lives of families who have suffered trauma.

They provide a haven for children who have experienced medical trauma or the loss of a loved one. Their mission is to provide a nurturing space where these children along with their families can heal, rejuvenate, and create lasting memories together.

Timber Hill, nestled in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside and coastline is the perfect place to spend quality family time together, relax and unwind, away from the daily challenges they confront.

Each family are accommodated in their own lodge. The terrace is a lovely spot for contemplation, watching the children play or simply to relax and have a chat. For families who have been through so much, spending time in nature, with the support of a volunteer family provides the time and space to breathe, reconnect and make lifelong memories.

The heart-warming testimonials received from these families underscore the profound impact we have in fulfilling genuine needs and fostering emotional recovery.

"The last few years have been very stressful and traumatic for us. The last week has made up for all of it. Thank you so much to the Trust. The volunteers were very friendly and the children adored them".

"JCT goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. My son was non verbal before arriving, within a week he has said 8 new words. Being autistic he usually wants to stay indoors, but here all he wants to do is go outside and socialise with the other children which is wonderful. I am so grateful for everything".

"This week has given us the time to enjoy quality time together as a family after a very difficult year for us all. We are so grateful for this week of lovely memories'.
