Story
I’m attempting to walk 1.7km every day from Monday 7th August 2023 until Monday 20th November 2023 to raise funds for OSPA Cabo Verde Cats and Dogs
OSPA are a small animal welfare charity in Cape Verde and rely on donations to run their rehoming centre and keep their dogs healthy, safe and happy.
I’m so passionate about the work done at OSPA and would like more than anything to raise money to help OSPA achieve their goals of doing everything to help the dogs in their care and also any dog on the island who need their support, care and love.
In particular, I would like the proceeds of any donations to go towards building a new dog box/pen for OSPA's main man and mascot, Brownie Bob. He is a loving, friendly boy who loves attention from people, but unfortunately, when it comes to other dogs, he's not keen! This means that Brownie is restricted a lot of the time to keep the other dogs safe, but having a box of his own would allow him to be more inclusive and have his own space and have a better quality of life. Hopefully one day he will find a forever home, but until then, we want to give him his best life at OSPA.
I would be extremely grateful to have your support as I’m admittedly a couch potato and, while 1.7km per day is not a huge challenge to most, it most certainly is to me!
Please give generously to encourage me to keep going and get fit, but mostly to help provide support for OSPA to continue the great work they do. 🧡🐾
(t’s 4.246 km’s from Bristol airport to Sal airport, and 2,520 hours until we return to our favourite place (105 days). So for every hour until we return, I will commit to walking 1.7km each day (4,246 divide by 2,520 hrs)
