We're here to bridge the gap between needing Mental Health support due to a devastating Duchenne diagnosis and accessing the NHS services families facing Duchenne need. Therapy empowers families to navigate the complexities of DMD with a greater sense of understanding and emotional well-being.

Story

Hi, I’m Rachel, and this year I’ve set myself a personal and meaningful challenge: I’m running a half marathon to raise funds for The Harrison Fund. The Harrison Fund is dedicated to funding research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)—a rare and genetic condition that affects young boys, slowly robbing them of their strength and independence.

The charity is named after Harrison, a brave young boy living with DMD, and it fights every day to bring hope to him and others like him.

Training will be tough, but nothing compared to the daily battles faced by families affected by Duchenne. Every step I run is in honor of those who can’t, and to support the tireless work being done to find a cure.

Whether it’s £1 or £20, every donation helps fund crucial research and brings us one step closer to a future free from Duchenne. Let’s make every mile count. Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
