Great North Run 2026
Campaign by Missing People (RCN 1020419)
A person is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK, that's a staggering 170,000 missing people every year. We want to ensure we have the best chance to find all of these people. Please help us achieve this by supporting our Great North runners.

Story

After three years away, I’m finally getting back into running! Before I stopped, I had completed over 30 different 10k running events, and now it feels like the right time to challenge myself again. The next step for me is tackling a half marathon… and who knows, maybe one day I’ll make it to the full marathon (you can follow my progress on my instagram running page https://www.instagram.com/gettingbackintorunning2025?igsh=MW5tdnhmdWs3ZnMwMQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr )

I’ll be running the Great North Run in support of Missing People UK, an incredible charity that offers a lifeline to those who are missing and the families left behind. They provide vital support, guidance, and hope during some of the hardest times anyone could face.

Taking on this challenge isnt just about achieving a personal goal, but also about raising awareness and funds to help Missing People UK continue their important work.

Any donation, big or small, will mean the world.
