🌸 Running the 2026 London Marathon for Bev – Together, Mum & Daughter 🌸

In 2026, my mum and I will be taking on the London Marathon side by side – running in memory of Bev, Mum’s best friend, who was taken far too soon at just 36.

Since 2001, Mum has been raising money and awareness for Breast Cancer Now, completing 24 Great North Runs so far on her challenge to run 36 consecutively in tribute to Bev. I’ve joined her too – with 9 Great North Runs under my belt (and counting each year!) – making this a real family journey of love, support and determination.

For me, a marathon has always been on my bucket list – but it’s a huge step up. I’ve managed plenty of half marathons, but running doesn’t come naturally and my running / gym friends know just how much of a challenge this will be! That’s what makes sharing this journey with Mum even more special.

Now, after deferring her London 2025 place due to injury, Mum finally has the chance to make 2026 her marathon pinnacle – and I couldn’t be prouder to join her. We’ll be running not just for Bev, but for my Granny also, my bestie Anna and every family touched by breast cancer, hoping to make a difference through every mile we cover.
