As part of my 40 things for 40 in October, I wanted to raise money for a worthwhile cause that makes a real difference and challenge myself to do something out of the ordinary.

On Friday 24th October 2025, supporters from across our community will come together for one of the boldest challenges yet – the St Kentigern Hospice Fire Walk at R N Williams & Sons, St Asaph.

Walking barefoot across glowing embers isn’t just about bravery – it’s about showing strength, solidarity and support for the patients and families who rely on St Kentigern Hospice every single day.

Every step across the fire bed represents the courage and resilience shown by people facing life-limiting illnesses. By taking part, supporters raise vital funds that ensure compassionate care continues for our community.
